iTunes cover art script

Update: Apple has now encripted their album art so this script doesn’t work anymore.

Found a really cool PHP script to download the album art from the iTunes store without being logged in. I’d get an iTunes account if there was an option to sign up for a free one without having to enter your credit card details. I have no intention of buying music at a crappy bitrate thats locked to iTunes. After all, what if I jump ship and buy a Zune?

And so it begins…

After two attempts at using a Shuttle PC as an HTPC I finally admitted defeat and got myself a Mac Mini. The plan for the mini is as follows:

  • Time shift digital TV
  • Music Jukebox
  • Play Myst 3 from the comfort from my sofa *

The mini should be controllable purely via remote control, that includes being able to switch the thing off, I don’t wish to leave it on standby as I’ve become fairly energy conscious.

* Bought many years ago and still I’ve not played it yet.

Dead Rising text issues

When the Dead Rising demo came out on Xbox Live I eagerly downloaded it. and noticed along with many others the small text size. I don’t like having to sit four feet away from the screen to play a game. I was seriously contemplating buying this game but having just read this I think I’m going to have to give it a miss.

I don’t care if it would take time to fix the text size issue. If I’m expected to pay £45 for a game I want it working, and if it’s a console game that means I can play sitting in my comfy chair. Afteral that’s the whole point of a console isn’t it?

If it’s broke they should fix it. It’s that simple. And maybe Capcom should change their testing processes.
